2:00 pm: Free dramatic reading of The Beauty and the Beast!2:00 pm: Free dramatic reading of The Beauty and the Beast! – New Chicago Parks & Rec and Project 219 bring to life the beloved story of brave Beauty and her sad, enchanted Prince in a free theatrical presentation. Actors will perform a dramatic reading of a non-musical adaptation of the novel The Beauty and the Beast by Gabrielle-Suzanne de Villeneuve. A 17th century novelist, de Villeneuve wrote fairy tales and moral tales and tales of love showing that what lives tucked away inside matters far more than outward appearances do. Free!
